Digital engagement is among the most significant factors driving business today: pushing the boundaries of traditional businesses, changing the way organisations are managed, and the way competition happens. To this end and in line with the e-Government Strategy 2013 – 2017, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology is organizing a Mauritius Digital Government Summit on 08 October 2014 at the Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel, Port Louis from 09.00 hrs. The Hon. Tassarajen Pillay Chedumbrum, Minister of ICT, will officially open the event.
The objectives of the Summit are:
(i) to monitor progress in the implementation of the e-Government Strategy 2013 – 2017;
(ii) to create awareness about e-Government solutions developed in or customized for the Government of Mauritius;
(iii) to share best practices in the sphere of e-Government especially on policy issues like Open Government Data and Data Governance; and
(iv) to position Mauritius as a regional hub for Digital/ e-Government solution.
